April the 20th 1857
Dear Sir I now take the pleasure to
rite you a few lines to Let you know that
we are all well and all the inquiring friends
are all well I have nothing very strange
to rite Corn sells at 75 cts Ruffnus [1] is
verry scerce Anderson Sherrill froze to Death
the 1st Day of march
Catherine Rosemon and John Moser is married
Henry Shook and Barbara Miller is maried &
Wilton Douglas wife was beried the 18th
of April
Julees Douglas and mag Sharp is maried
and thare is a great many more weddings
than what has been expecting


Jemima has a young son and Miles Hafners
wife has a young daughter

Dear Brother and Sister I want you
to rite as soon as you get this
and tell us how you are a getting along
I havent Herd from you since you was Hare
it is the Coldest spring I ever Saw
we had a deep snow the 13th Day of march
it was a bout six inches deep
Wheat crops done look verry well
we have frost and ice every morning sinc
march commenced we would be
verry glad to see you all

we [??] Rite as soon as you get this
Nothing more untill Death
nothing more untill time have
failed on earth
