Dear Wife I now Seat my self to anser your
kind letter which gave me much Satisfaction
I can inform yo that I am Well at this time
hoping when these few lines come to hand
they will find you all in the same state of
Health Dear wife I can informe you that
I have the promise of A ferlow we will
all be at home as soon as we can I hope
Ill see you all once more in this world
if its gods will it has bin Said that we
had to leave next week to go to Richmond
but lieutenant yount went and Sead Coln
godlin and he promist to ferlow Sow I
Cant tel when i can come home

uniform and bounty the forth nothing more
at presant only I want the boys to
be good boys and listen to Maw
