Dear Husband I take my pen in hand
this eving to answer your letter of the
17th of March witch I received yesterday
I was very glad to hear from you the
very sory to hear that you was sick
you never said what was the matter
with you I can inform you that we
are all well enough to be up I am glad
to hear that you got that tobacco an
Butter I sent to you I Bought 17 teen
appel trees of Joseph Wagner [??] an had
them planted out I am sorry to hear
that you have Bin plaing cards an if
you ment no harm by that [??] I hope
you will have more respect for me
then to ever to engeage in card playin
again for you know it is very much
against my will for you to play cards
Richard Walker said I should write
to you that he was here yet an
intended to stay here till he is
forsed away pelina can run when
she gets out of the house Father is
geting along tolarbal well with his
work it raines so much we cant do much
Mother wisher her love to be remembered
to you an to all her friends there I
want to know if John Howard is

want to know if you have seen Vachel
Ingram or Clinton Ingram ro Eli Ingram [1]
I want to know where they all are
tell henry his folks is well as common
Armsteads Family is well your uncle
James Family is well an all your
connection so fair as I know Martha says
I shall tell papa she has a little lamb
I must close by saying write every
chance you have remaining your
affectionate Wife until death

leaves I received a letter and the 40 dollars you
Sent me yestarday was glad to hear from you
