Camp Near Hamiltons
Crossing Virginia March the 28 /63
My Dear Wife I this evening
Seat myself to rite you a few
lines which leave me tolerabel
well at the present time
and I hope when those few
lines reach you they may
find you and the children
all well and harty and
enjoying good helth I will
say to you that the wether
has been verry bad for the
last few days it has been
raning all day to day but
the sun has come out this
evening and it looks like
it might be verry nice
wether again I will say
to you that I sent forty

dollars to you in a letter by
George Flint he is to leave
it at H. R. Thomases in
Winston and you must go
and get it and rite to me
and let me now how it
came to hand Vach
is well but he is in the
gard house yet Wiley Shouse
saw him yesterday and he
was hear to see me today
Andey and Henry Thomason
are as well as common you
must rite as soon as this
come to hand direct yours
