pen in hand to let you
know that I am not yet
I hope these few lines may
finde you and Burt Well
I have nothing Strange to
rite to you at presant
if I could git a discharge
I would stay with sarepta

till you would come home
I hear that Cap Jones has
come home and has ben to
Hendersonvill I want you
to rite to me and let me no
how you and Burt is git
ing along and tell Burt
to rite to me and J. E. Morgan
to rite to me too give my best
respects to all my friend and
receive the same to yourseff so far
