My pen in hand to in
form you that I am well
at presant and I hope when
thies few lines come to hand
if ever they do they may find
you well and doing well I
received your kind leter
this morning which gave me
grate sarisfaction to hier
that you was well Wide
rivers runs be twixt us and high
mountains rise betwixt urs
and many miles seprate urs
but I hav not fer got you yet
nor never will while my hed
stays hot I am destracted
to be at home at work but
I dont see any chanc of
giting to come home for I dont
see any hopse of pec being made
you rote to me that you had
not received aleter from
me in amonth I hav rote
