My Dear Husban I take the pres
ant time to inform you that I am
well at this time and I do truly
hope that theas few lines ma
finde you enjoying the same
blessing I have nothing strang
to rite to you at presant I receiv
from aletter from you yesterday
whitch gave me grate plesure to
hear that you was well and that
you had got back from Ken tuck
to Clinton again I would be aheap
glader to see you than to hear
from you I do want to see you
verry bad you sed I nede not
send aletter to you without
Paying for them for you sed tha
would not send them on to you

it is jest meanness of the Post
Masters that you have to pay
for the letters I send to you
you began to think I dident
think enough of you to Pay for
the letters that I sent to you
but I pay for all the leters I send
to my little sweet Daniel I do
want to see you very bad I do
wishe this old war would stop
so my little sweet could come home
one more time you must rite to me
as offen as you can for I love to
hear from you offen I must
come to aclose by saying I
