Dear Father And Mother And
Sister I take my pen in hand
to let yow know that I am
well at present hoping when
those few lines comes to hand
they may find yow all well
I Recived A letter from yow
wrote on the 14 I Received the 18
I Received one to day wrote the 11
Father I am Sorrow to think
that I have freinds that wood
try to endure my character
like some of them has but
I am thankful that I can
prove this all to be Alie
Father I have ben two faithful
ASoldier in the army in the
war Such as that to go
home to yow I dont want
it interrwp your mind
for god from heavens knows

for desertin they tied
him to A Stake and
Shot him in the
Brest pwt nine balls
in him I was About
1 50 yards from him
