dear brothers we are awl well
at present hoping those lines may
find you well I hav nothing new to
write we are almost done puling
foder wee hav about 1500 bundles tuck up
our general muster come off last
saturday and I think without
a fight with the acception of
J M baleys knoced alfred Poole down
on the road. there is a hevey rain
fawling I must stop til it is over
the rain is over. ther is two volunteer
compaeys here now redy maid cap foster
and hodgeres and C P Dill is trying to
make another but I donot no how many
he has got, the election for collonel
came own to day the candidates H cawble
and Mr dupree. I went to brutens
but there was no box there I think
that cawble will [p???] elected.
wea looked for aleter from a leter from [you?]
to night but it has not come
wiliam [Pa?] has sold your mule for
80 dolars that was a god price two
you hav bin talking of coming home
and I want you boath to come soon
if you will write to me when you
will come to Greenville I will meet
you there prepared to bring you home
the rev. T Dill preached at the
schoolhouse la[s]t night. John I receved
your leter and was glad to here from
you but was sorrow to here of the

being among you.
