Biography:
George Washington (b. ca. 1841) was from the Mush Creek neighborhood of Greenville District, South Carolina. His parents were Alsey Albert (b. ca. 1815) and Ann Pool (b. ca. 1810). Two of his brothers served with him in the Confederacy: William Perry Zacharia Franklin Neves (b. ca. 1835) and John Pool (b. ca. 1838), all in Co. A (later Co. H), 3rd Battalion, Palmetto Light Artillery. All three survived the war.
