Biography: 

Anah Frances Neves (b. ca. 1842), known as Francis or Fannie, was from the Mush Creek neighborhood of Greenville District, South Carolina. Her parents were Alsey Albert (b. ca. 1815) and Ann Pool (b. ca. 1810). Three of her brothers served in the Confederacy, William Perry Zacharia Franklin Neves (b. ca. 1835), John Pool (b. ca. 1838), and George Washington (b. ca. 1841), all in Co. A (later Co. H), 3rd Battalion, Palmetto Light Artillery. All three survived the war. Frances later married David Samuel Bray (b. ca. 1842).
