Biography:
Alsey A. Dill (b. ca. 1826) was a fellow soldier to the Neves brothers in Co. A (later Co. H), 3rd Battalion, Palmetto Light Artillery. In 1850 and 1860, Alsey was living in the household of Anah Neves (b. ca. 1785), the widowed grandmother of the Neves brothers and the widowed mother of Alsey Albert Neves. He was almost certainly a close cousin to the Neves brothers. In 1850, Alsey was marked as a laborer, but in 1860, he was a school teacher.
