Dear Brothers I this morning
seat myself to drop you a few
lines to let you know that
we are all well hoping when
this comes to hand they will
find you enjoying the same
blessing Emily has had a felon [1]
on her hand she hasent done
any thing for over a week
Dr Miles split hit and hit
is a good deal better now
Washington is fixen to start
I thought it was bad enougf
you went off but you know
it is a great deal wors for
him to goo William I received
a letter from you last saturday
night wrote a chrismass day
we havent had any letters this
week for the mail haint went
sense saturdy I donot know whether it
came to day or not

uncle Thornton in 3 months
I was agoing to lima last
Sunday but it was a raining
all day I must quit writing
for washington is ready to
start write as soon as this
come to hand nomore but
remains yours as ever
