Sunday knight Father I have Concluded
to write you A few More lines hoping them
to Reach you I find you well
we have preaching hear five times A week
their is preaching to knight Right at this present
time Down Stares Right under Me
& their is two Cherches on the Island whitch
their is preaching at every Sunday one Catholick
Church & once Apiscopalion I Never have
bin at the Catholick Church yet but the other one
I have bin to you wrote that you bored A Litle
axe fer John Freeman to cut withe I am glad
to think that he is geting bige enough to help
you A Long withe your affairse
& you also wrote that the Litle fellow is as big
as I was when I comenced plowing
you wrote that he weighted 71 pouns tell him
that his brother Bill weigs one hundred pounds
the most I will bring My Short lines
to A Close excuse My bad paper & pen

you A few lines Mary I was proud to get
A Leter from you & to hear that you was all
geting A Long So well you wrote that you
had Received My Ambrotyp & you thought that
I had Change A great deal I have Change
the Most you ever Saw I havent bin weighted
Latlely but I think that I will weigh one
hundred & Sevnty five pounds &c
Mary tell the girls when I get backe they May set
their Caps to get Mared for if I do ever get
back I am going to have Some body to
loock for Me that is one think certin I have eat
So Much Nasty beef that I am A Shamed to See
A Cow & it almost Makes me Sick to See
A Cow I will close for this time

you wrote that your Stept Mother had Mad father
A federale blanket & you thouht that it was
good idea I think So My Self I No if it wasent
for our Confaderacy blankets w[e?] wood frese

but it is Cole enough to freese A Man
