Dear Son I Rcd your kind letters you
Sent by Mr McDaniel & Mr Dunlap they
found us all well I was glad to here from
you wonce more, we are all well today
& hope & trust through the Blessings of the
Almity that these lines may fined you well &
doing well Doc McDaniel tils me that
you are injoying the best of health that is
great Blessing if I could have the health
that wonce had I think I could injoy myself
much better these war times but will try
& doo the best I Can I think if we have
no bad Luck we can make out in some way
I dont no as I have interresting news to write
to day, as Doc McDaniel is going down in
fue days, I thought I would sen you line we

have you some Close made time you come
home I want you to write when you will
be at home, I have get Some money by me
& if you dont draw money you can send me
word in your next Letter & I can send
you some to pay your way home I am saving it
to pay my war Tax but it may be that
I can get some more, we have great deal
of rain for the last fue weeks grund
is most all the time too wet to plow
I have not verry much plowing done yet
Mr Graham & myself have bin plowing together
& if nothing hapens we will worke together he is
affraid to plow the mule by himself & I have not
Commenced sowing oats yet I want sow in
our old Bottem I want to sow 8 bush I will
have big harves if small grean comes good
it going to badley need [it?] I think by haves it
the corn will be pretty well gone corn is
&100 &I think if the stilling goes on it
much higher than that have not heard much talk
about Bacon lately I here that it is coming down
it has great rume to fall Butter 35 cts per Pound
Eggs 10cts Wm.. there is more speculateting
going on almost on every thing we naed but
we are dooing on as littel nesserys as I gon
make out on as bying as poseble I dont want
pay Two or Three Prices I need We have A
Muster evry Two Weeks besides going
to Three Tax payings our Souldiers is
are gone to fite for [???] country & they
wifes & Children for fue persons to get
their property but if the Yankes wips us
it dont make no difrence but if they dont
