Biography:
Mary (Polly) Ann Edmonston (b. ca. 1804), wife of Ninion Edmonston, had three sons serving in the Confederate Army. Bazil B. Edmonston (b. ca. 1826) and Benjamin F. Edmonston (b. ca. 1837) served in the 25th North Carolina Infantry. Thomas B. Edmonston (b. ca. 1842) served in the 62nd North Carolina Infantry, along with his brother-in-law, Rufus P. Kelly.
