Dear wife I take the pleasure
of riting you a few loines to
lett you hear from me I
am well as to helth but not
in mind but as well in mind as
I expect to be tell I go home
I truly hope those few loins
may safely reach and find you
and my little children all well
and doing well and a contented
mind I recieved your kind letter
last eavening that was dated march
the fift and was more than glad
to hear from you all but sory
to hear you was not well and
was Glad to hear that all of
my pople was all so they could
be up I want to hear from them
all and you rote about all of them
