Biography:
Martha Jane Brown (b. ca. 1838) was the wife of Daniel M. Brown, a Duplin County, North Carolina farmer. At the time of the 1860 federal census, she lived on the farm with Daniel and their three small children. Daniel died of typhoid fever at Richmond, Virginia on June 4, 1863.
