General Hospital No 21 June 5th 1863
Mrs Martha J Brown Dear friend
I exceedingly regret to in form you of the
death of your husband he departed
this life to day a bout 1 o clock of ty
phoid fever me and he was both sent
here last tuesday both had bin
sick some considerable time before
we were sent here he give me his
money to take care of for him me not
being quite so sick as he was there is
fifteen Dollars of the money and I
want to no if you had rather I would
send it to you in a letter or wait
till I git a safer chance write to
me what to do so I will close for
I feel very week and nervious so
that I dont whether you can read
what I have wrote direct you let
ters to General Hospital No 21 Rich
