On Bealton Plains Junction

which I recd yesterday I
I was glad to hear from you
& to hear that you was well
I have been on the Rail Road
to work for 3 days laying
the track I like it first rate
I would like to work there all
the time the weather is pretty
cold here now it is as cold
as it will be this winter
I wake up every morning with
cold feet I want you to get
ready to send me a Box tell
Father to make the Box so to

I want a pair of good
stout Calf skin Boots well
pegged one sole & two tops
No. 8. & a pair of Gloves
& some pies, mince some Apples
some Butter some Cheese some
sweet cakes and Apple sauce
dough nuts & lots of good
stuff that you know I want
& two pair of socks that is
what they call stockings out
here I dont know hardly what
to do about my Colt I guess
Father had better sell Nig & use
mine untill I come home or
else sell me his & sell mine
I want him to say what he
will take for his I saw
