Well Father
I seat my self once more to
pen you a few lines to let
you know how I am gitting
along My health is not verry
good out here I hope yours is
good I had a letter from Otis
the other day he was gitting
along nicely, I must write
to him to day if I feel
able how is all the folks
down there are they well
where is Ben Ball has he
gon back to his Regt yet

came here from the Hospital
yesterday James Emery &
Frank Hanton are both dead
I pitty Emerys family
you must put up with
a short letter this time so
