Pensacola Sept 15th /64

Well Father
I recd your leters last night
dated the 18th & 30th & the money in
them I was glad to hear from you
& the wrest of the folks
My health is gitting better
now I have been wrather slim
as I wrate before Maguire
is pretty sick he is in the
Hospital Huntons boy is dead
& Emery I have wrote about
them a number of times
I wrote to Mother the other
day so thare will be no need of
my writing mutch this time

the boys from our way as
ageneral thing are gitting
along well the boys here are
troubled with the scurvy agreat
deal we cannot git enny vegeta-
bles unless we buy them ourselves
if we could only have vegetables
it would prevent the scurvy
I have no news to write this
time I git all of your letters
I think, I never have wrote about
my sheep & wool I want you
to keep the sheep do what
you are a mind to with the
money you get for the wool
they talk some of sending our
sick all home on furlows
I hope they will it would be
the best thing they could
I had a fresh fish for dinner
yesterday it was good I tell
you we have got 6 boys out

Frank gits letters from home
ocasionaly & papers to, I have
not got but two papers yet
I want you to send them often
I dont think of enny thing
