let you know how I am
gitting along I am pretty
smart now my health is
improving I had aletter
from Nell night before
last I was glad to hear
from home & to hear that
Dora was gitting better
Also I recd a letter from
by he was well, he sayd that [1]
Otis was there then but was
to leave the next morning

how is Dora now is she gitting
better past has B Ball gon to his
Regt yet I recd that dollar
in Nells letter but it was
to late we got payd of[f] the
night before we recd four
months pay $64.00 that
allotment is all done away
with you need not look for
enny more allotment money
I shall send some home before
long we did not git enny
instalment this time on
account of the Roles not being
made out right but we shall
git it next time we are payd
there is most two months
pay due us now
I do not expect we shall stay
here a great while it is
thought that we shall

leave in the corce of ten
days for where we do
not know
the raders got in all right
they was not atactid
again our Company lost
none killed one wounded
Sargt A. S. Strout wounded
in the right shoulder slightley,
I suppose you will see Quint
& Wilber at home before you git
