Biography: 

Jacob B. Hawes (b. ca. 1834) was from York County, Pennsylvania. He mustered into service with Company A, 107th Pennsylvania Infantry on March 5, 1862 for a three-year term. He was wounded at the Battle of Fredericksburg on December 13, 1862 and was killed in action at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 1, 1863.
