Biography: 

Henry M. Erisman (b. ca. 1831) was a carpenter from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He mustered into service on December 8, 1861 as a sergeant in Co. K, 77th Pennsylvania Infantry. At the time of the 1860 Census Henry and his wife, Susan, and their two small children were living in the household of his widowed mother, also named Susan Erisman. Henry was discharged “on Surgeon’s certificate” in March 1864.
