Biography:
James H. Buford (b. TN ca. 1835) was the brother of Louisa L. Clark, a resident of Attalaville, Attala County, Mississippi. He mustered into service as a private in Co. H, 4th Tennessee Infantry in August 1861. In March 1862 he transferred to Co. D, 32nd Mississippi Infantry and served as first lieutenant until he resigned in May 1863.
