Thomas Elliott McMackin (b. ca. 1841) was from Monroe County, Mississippi. He mustered into service with his cousins in Co. D, 24th Mississippi Infantry on October 11, 1861. He was captured near Decatur, Georgia on September 8, 1864 and sent to Camp Douglas, Illinois where he died of “Typhoid Pneumonia” on June 17, 1865.]
