Agnew Brothers Letters

The Agnews were a farm family from Chattooga County, Georgia. William G. Agnew served as a private in Co. B, 9th Georgia Infantry and died of disease at Petersburg, Virginia on May 11, 1863. His brother, John S. Agnew also appears to have served in Co. B, 9th Georgia Infantry early in the war, but by the time his letters were written (in May and July 1863) he was clearly not a member of that regiment.
