Dear Sister Meily I
take the pleasure of writing you a few
lines which leaves me poorly but Iam
in hopes that those welcome Ethimpathys
may find you well Meily you must
be a good Girl and when I come home
I will bring you a Pretty If I Ever
can get of[f] but it is a bad chance
now to get of[f] allthough I am in hopes
it wont be so always you must write
to me and let me know what I must
Bring for you Tell daniel to be a Good
Boy also he must attend to my hogs and
I will Bring him Something too So it
is getting Dark Your loving Brother
