Dear wife I agane take the opportunity
of righting you a few lines to let you
no that i am well at this time Truly
hoping these few lines may come safe
to you and find you will.
I received a letter from you baring date
january the 27 whitch give me grate satisfaction
to here you was well I have no news of
mutch importance to right at the time
onley war news time is hard here
though they are giving firlows yet I
am in hopes I will get a firlow some
time this spring I dont no what time
I can get to come you stated that farther
was coming to bring you some corn I
received a letter from farther stating that he
was a going to se you and take you some
corn you stated in your letter that you
expsected to stay whare you are this year
I am willing for you to stay whar you
think best and whare you are the best
satisfied turn over

They want the men to reinlist for the
war and it causes grate confusion for
the mens time is out this spring and
they want to go home and they say
they intend to go though some few
has reinlisted.. Their is grate talk of N C
going back to the union if that will make
pease the soldiers say they wil vote for
it for they are so tiard of war
you stated that Bulinger talked very short
to you when you ast him for my pistol
you needent to say any thing niver to him
about it if he dont bring it to you I will
right him a letter how he has treated
me so I wil close by saying rite soon
