Camp near Orang Court House Va
April the 9 1864
Dear wife I agane the the privolige
to wight you a few lines to let you
know that I am well at this time truly
hoping these few lines may come safe
to you and find you will and
dwoing well I will say to you that
I wrote a letter and sent it by Henry
Keevers sone I sent a dozen kneedles
in the letter he sed he left it at
pervard station to be put in the offis
for you & I want to no if you got
it or not I have not received any
answer from you since I rote so I
thought I would wright agane for fear
you did not get the one I rote I have
no news to communicate at this time
we shal have preching here thought it
good their is so many tempations to encounter
with I have a hard time to serve god though
I hair them I am determind to serve god if
I can if we never meet each other in this life
I hope we may meet in pease I hope you may
ever put your trust in god I hold out
faithful is my cinceer prair for you
I must close I remain your tru hirsband
