Dear Brother and Sister I Seet my Self
this morning to writ a few lins to let you
Know how we ar gitting a long I am well at
this time hoping when thes few lins coms to
hand tha may find you al well I Recived yor
kind letter that was da[t]ed the 14th of July I
was glad to her from you all Daniel is not
well he has been sick for too days tha ar agrat
miney Sick in the Rigt ment at this time
wel Fenton I hav not got iney news to writ
at this time for we hav had dul tims sens the
fight we ar in Reglar Camp now and I hop we
wil git to Sta her and Rest we did not
her of william deth til Mr Williams and
Mr Powers coms Back and told ous I was soray
to her of his deth I am Sory for mary and
her por little Childern But it cant
be helpt I hav not Saw iney of his compt
Sense the fight that Cood giv me iney

Thomas Sens the first of march and it was the

J E Simpson is ded he died with the tiford
fevor tha ar But three left in our mess
all of our woned is going home as fast as tha
git able to go But tha no Chance for
A well man to go til the war ends
