Richmond .Va Febuary 24 1862
Dear Brother I seat
myself once more to let you no how
I am geting along I am well at present
time and hope that when these lines
Comes to hand they will find you
and all of the family in good health
Jim I looked for you when lieutenant
Davis was there at home geting up
Recruits for our Company if you want
to Come send me word or rite to
me and I will get a transportation
ticket and send it to you so that
you can Come here free of Charge
I dont expect we will stay here
long and I want you to rite
to me as soon as you get this
letter I want to hear from you
all mighty bad I would pay
for this letter but I am out
of money tell pa to send me
A litle money if he has got it
to give so that I Can get such
little things as I need the most
I want some socks and drawers
and needles and thread I expect
that that we will leave hear
