Thomas Jefferson Price
Thomas Jefferson Price (b. ca. 1833) was the son of Elizabeth Willis and the brother of Zachariah Monroe Price (b. ca. 1840) and Henry H. Price (b. ca. 1845). At the time of the 1860 Census, Thomas resided on his small farm near Monticello in Lawrence County, Mississippi with his wife, Lydia, and their four young children. Z. M. and Henry mustered into Co. B, 7th Mississippi as privates on May 1, 1861. Thomas joined them in January 1862. Z. M. Price was killed at the Battle of Shiloh on April 7, 1862. Both Thomas and Henry were wounded in the fighting at Shiloh, and Thomas died of his wounds on April 20.
