James C. Zimmerman Papers
James C. Zimmerman (b. ca. 1833) was a Forsyth County, North Carolina farmer. He and his two brothers-in-law, Andrew Jackson Spease and John W. Spease, served in Co. D, 57th NC Inf. The collection includes letters by Zimmerman and the Spease brothers and by Zimmerman’s wife, Martha Adaline Zimmerman.
