Martha Buckley was the wife of Benjamin M. Buckley (b. ca. 1823). The Buckley family was from Alabama, and by 1850 resided in Jasper County, Mississippi. In 1860 they were living in Scott County where they owned a farm and six slaves. At the time of the 1860 Census, the couple had five sons.
