Blair Letters 1838-1883

The Blairs were a farm family from Caldwell County, North Carolina. Two sons of John and Abigail Blair served in the Confederate Army. Robert M. Blair (b. ca. 1839) served as a private in Co. I, 26th North Carolina Infantry. In the 1860 Census, Robert’s occupation is listed as "mechanic." Albert W. Blair (b. ca. 1847) served as a private in Co. D, 1st North Carolina Cavalry. Albert enlisted in March 1864 and was killed in June.
