Biography:
Elizabeth (b. ca. 1799) was a farmer's wife who resided in Anderson District, South Carolina. She was married to Josiah M. Barkley (b. ca. 1798). They both survived the war; Josiah died before the 1880 census. The couple had at least five children, three of whom were sons who served the Confederacy.
