William Henry Harrison Lee papers, 1862-1863
William Henry Harrison Lee (b. ca. 1841) was a farmer from Greenville District, SC and served as a private in Co. H, 16th South Carolina Infantry (the Greenville Regiment). W. H. H. Lee enlisted on December 30, 1861. His letters are written to his wife, Mathursa Fowler Lee (b. ca. 1825). The final letter, written be Lee’s brother-in-law John G. Fowler indicates that W. H. H. Lee died "of fever" in the summer of 1863 in a hosptial at Meridian, Mississippi.
