Mathursa Fowler Montgomery Lee (b. ca. 1825) was a widow who married William Henry Harrison Lee (b. ca. 1841) after her first husband's death. They lived in Greenville District, South Carolina. She and William had their own children, and the couple cared for her children from her previous marriage. William served as a private in Co. H, 16th South Carolina Infantry (the Greenville Regiment). He enlisted on December 30, 1861 and died “of fever” in a hosptial at Meridian, Mississippi in August 1863. Mathursa appears to have remarried after his death.
