Biography: 

Harrison Nesbitt (1833-1909) was a boatman and farmer from Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. In 1860, he and his wife, Jemima (b. ca 1837) resided in Jackson Township with their two young children, Isabella and Chester. The family name is listed as Nesbet in the 1860 Census. Harrison Nesbitt mustered into service as a private in Co. F, 203rd Pennsylvania Infantry on September 6, 1864 and mustered out on June 22, 1865. After the war, Harrison Nesbitt returned to Luzerne County, and at the time of the 1900 Census, he and Jemima were still living in Luzerne County.
