Hiram Finton (1837-1923) was from Kosciusko County, Indiana. He was a private in the 152nd Indiana Infantry, Co. D. He mustered into service February 16, 1865 and mustered out August 30 of the same year. He wrote most of his letters to his wife, Priscilla, whom he married in September of 1861.
