Edmonston-Kelly Family Papers
The Edmonston family were farmers in Haywood County, North Carolina (the family name is also spelled Edmonson). Three sons of Ninion Edmonston (b. ca. 1790) and his wife, Mary (Polly) Ann Edmonston (b. ca. 1804), served in the Confederate Army. Bazil B. Edmonston (b. ca. 1826) and Benjamin F. Edmonston (b. ca. 1837) served in the 25th North Carolina Infantry. Thomas B. Edmonston (b. ca. 1842) served in the 62nd North Carolina Infantry, along with his brother-in-law, Rufus P. Kelly.
