Biography:
The Williams family lived in Layfayette, Chambers County, Alabama. Mary (b. Kentucky ca. 1825) married Joseph H. Williams (1808-1886), born in Tennessee, who was a farmer and “ambrotype artist.” Together the couple had at least eleven children. Their two eldest sons served in the Confederate Army: James Halloway and Robert Williams.
